Introduction
“Green Magma” is the commercial name for barley grass or barley green. Way back in 1969, Dr. Hagiwara developed and patented a unique juice extraction process in order to preserve the delicate nutrients in this freshly harvested young barley grass. It gained fast popularity as a type of superfood owing to its dense nutrient contents. It is a superior source of protein, enzymes, and chlorophyll (66 times more than in spinach!). Additionally, it contains the potent antioxidants beta-carotene, vitamin C, superoxide dismutase, lutonarin, saponarin, and vitamin E. Green Magma is often combined with other green blends such as kale, spirulina, and wheatgrass.

Ways to Consume
Green Magma is available in several forms including powder, juices, tablets, and gummies. To obtain its full potential benefits, it is recommended to be taken in its natural form (powder formulation). Take 1-2 teaspoons of Green Magma powder and stir well in an 8-ounce glass of water until fully dissolved. For tablet form, take 3-6 tablets. Best to take on an empty stomach 15-20 minutes before or 2 hours after a meal. This is because it takes longer for Green Magma to pass through the stomach if it is taken at the same time as or after eating.
*Caution: Do not mix Green Magma with hot liquid since the heat has a tendency of neutralizing its active enzymes.
Precaution
Green Magma is generally safe to be consumed by everyone except for those taking blood thinners such as warfarin (due to high vitamin K content) and those with kidney disease (due to the potassium level).
