Indications/Uses

Resp affections characterized by thick & viscous hypersecretions: Acute or chronic bronchitis & its exacerbations, pulmonary emphysema, mucoviscidosis & bronchiectasis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult ≥6 yr 200 mg tds or 1 effervescent tab daily. Childn >2 yr 100-200 mg bd. Duration of treatment: 5-10 days for acute cases.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Contraindications

Phenylketonuria.

Special Precautions

Bronchial asthma, patients w/ or history of peptic ulcer.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea, vomiting, urticaria.
