What is Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)?
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) describes the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. It is a common condition as men gets older.
About 90% of men will develop BPH symptoms by 80 years of age. An enlarged prostate gland can cause uncomfortable urinary symptoms such as blockage of urine flow.
The prevalence of BPH is greater than 50% at age ≥ 60 and more than 90% at age ≥85.

•Reduce liquid consumption 2 hours prior to sleeping
•Limit consumption of coffee and tea (caffeine)
•Kegel exercise to strengthen pelvic floor muscle
•Maintain healthy weight
•Empty the bladder as thoroughly as possible with each urination
