p INDICATIONS This medicine contains an osmotic laxative . It retains water in the intestine and causes diarrhea that empties the digestive tract. It is used to purge the bowel before surgery or endoscopic (colonoscopy) or radiological examination (barium enema). CONTRAINDICATIONS This fatiguing treatment should not be used in the following cases: disease responsible for a state of extreme fatigue, severe disease causing fragility or obstruction of the intestine, child under 15 years of age. WARNING (Contents) In the elderly or frail elderly, it is sometimes preferable to carry out the preparation of the intestine in the hospital or in the clinic the day before the examination. Diarrhea caused by the administration of this preparation may decrease the absorption of many drugs. Ask your doctor for advice if you are following another treatment: a time difference may be necessary. PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING This medicine contains only presumed safe substances during pregnancy or lactation. DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE The contents of a sachet must be diluted in water (mineral or tap) to obtain 1 liter of solution. Usual dosage: Adult: 1 liter of solution per 15 to 20 kg; or on average 3 to 4 liters to drink: in one case, in the evening preceding the examination; 2 times, 2 liters the night before and 2 liters the morning before the examination. In this case, the last catch must take place at least 3 hours before the examination. /p
